The Department of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering was established in 2013 and has grown rapidly since then.
The Degree program offered has obtained full accreditation from the Nigerian University Commission. The Degree program prepares the students for work in all major Communications Engineering fields which including Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering Microelectronic Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Data Communications etc.
This Department also offers programs at Masters and PhD level in various research fields. The research program in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering is growing rapidly where research projects are funded by various public and private agencies. The Department has more than 100 post graduate students from various part of the country/diaspora who are pursuing their MSc and PhD studies. Many of the research findings have been published and have gained national and international recognition.
The Research Clinic of the Department comprises of vibrant and exceptional group of Engineers who always rise to the top in their fields and create new frontiers.
