Engr. Babachir David Lawal hails from Hong local government area in Adamawa state. He worked with the Delta Steel Company, Aladja, Nigerian Eternal Telecommunications Limited and Data Science Limited. He established his own ICT and Telecommunications consulting firm in 1990 – Rholavision Engineering Limited and holds the position of the managing director up to this date. A pastor, but later decided to pursue political career.

Dr. Baru had worked in various capacities in both the Upstream and Downstream Sectors of NNPC. These include Group General Manager of Greenfield Refinery Projects, Managing Director of Hyson, Executive Director of Nigerian Gas Company (NGC), General Manager – Gas Division of NAPIMS, Manager – Operations, Procurement Management Services and Manager – Engineering for National Engineering and Technical Company Limited (NETCO). During his initial stint with NAPIMS which spanned from July 1993 to July 1999, Dr. Baru executed several Gas projects which are utilizing billions of standard cubic feet of gas per day. Several other ongoing projects were also conceptualized under his care. He planned the projects that would ensure flare-out by 2008 and made huge savings while overseeing the Joint Venture Gas Projects. He was also the NNPC’s Chief Technical Negotiator on the West African Gas Pipeline project from July 1999 to April 2004.
Dr. Baru has been the Chairman of NNPC Anti – Corruption Committee since September 2004 till date; and has relentlessly sensitized staff on obligations and laws that govern corruption and corrupt practices.

Prof. E.J. Bala was born in Gelengu, Balanga Local Government Area of Gombe State. He graduated with a Bachelor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Master of Engineering degree in 1980. He obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Applied Energy from Cranfield Institute of Technology, United Kingdom in 1984. Professor Bala rose through the ranks from Graduate Assistant in 1978 to become Senior Lecturer in Ahmadu Bello University in 1987 and subsequently Professor of Applied Energy in 2004.
Since graduation, Prof. Bala has held a number of Administrative appointments among which include;

Engr. Bunu Sheriff Musa served as Nigeria's Ambassador to France from 1977 to 1999. Amb. Musa started his Civil Service Career at the Ministry of Works. He at various times held ministerial portfolio in the ministries of Industries, Mines and Power, Water Resources, Employment, Labour and Productivity. He serves as Non Executive Director of Oceanic Bank International PLC. He served as Director of Jaiz International PLC. He is a Chartered Engineer and fellow of the Nigerian Society Engineer. Amb. Musa graduated with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Civil Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and obtained a Masters of Science degree from the University of Southampton.

Sole Administrator, Ajaokuta Steel Company Limited November 2012 to Date

A consummate and witty Metallurgist, Engr. Isah, Joseph Onobere joined the services of the Ajaokuta Steel Company Limited in August 1982 as a Metallurgist grade II and rose through the ranks to the position of Ag. Deputy General Manager in April 2004. He received several training in Nigeria and overseas; notable amongst them was his stint in the former Soviet Union where he spent twelve months, 1983 to 1984 cutting his teeth in the art of Iron and Steel Making with special reference to the Blast Furnace Technology. He was also at the Kobe Steel Plant in Japan in 2001 where he got some tutelage in FastMelt Technology of Steel Making.
Between 1982 and November 2012, Engr. I. J. Onobere had traversed all major sectors of the Steel Plant working either as a Process Engineer, Planning Officer or as a Technical Assistant to the Chief Executive. He had also served as Acting Head of Steel Township Administration.
He was in the team that restored life to the NNPC Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company’s FCCU Cyclones and here he served as the teams’ Project Metallurgist/Planning Engineer, having led the team of Ajaokuta Engineers that assessed the FCCU. This feat from his ‘It can be done Spirit’ not only saved Nigeria huge foreign exchange, it also improved the image of Ajaokuta Steel Company Limited. He also served in several committees such as, the ones on the Task Force for the preparation of the Feasibility Report for setting up a Joint Nigeria-Soviet Venture; Stores Management/Inventory Control; Alumino-Silicate Refractory operation, Capacity Utilization of the Engineering Works, Raw Materials and a host of others.

Born on 31 July 1955 in Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria. He obtained a Bachelor degree in Electrical and Computer engineering Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1979. In 1983, he obtained a Doctorate degree, Ph.D in Electrical and Computer engineering from the University of Sussex, United Kingdom. He joined the services of Bayero University, Kano where he rose to the position of a Senior Lecturer in 1989 and was appointed a Professor in Energy Studied at the same University. He was appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University in 1995 and served in this capacity for two terms (1995-2004).
He is the incumbent Director-General and Chief Executive of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN) and Vice Chairman of the World Energy Council (WEC), Africa Region since November 2007 to October 2013. He has worked extensively on renewable energy utilisation as well as energy planning in Nigeria and has published more than 200 articles in journals, conference proceedings and technical reports. Professor Sambo was the Nigerian Representative at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) from 2009 to 2012. In 2011 he was named the Special Adviser to the Nigerian President on Energy.Fellowship

Professor Buba Garegy Bajoga was born in February 11, 1944. He attended Government Colleges at Kaduna and Okene before proceeding to Ahmadu Bello University where he obtained B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering in 1968. Thereafter, he took a Ph. D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the State University of New York in 1972.
Prof. Banjoga returned to Ahmadu Bello University where he rose through the ranks and was appointed Professor in 1984. Following the merger of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University with Ahmadu Bello, he was appointed provost of the College, which he nursed back into the status of an autonomous University. He served as two-term Vice-Chancellor covering the period 1984-1994 during which, he also served as Chairman of Committee of Vice-Chancellors.
At various times, he was a member of Board of Directors of NITEL (1985); member, the Technical Sub-Committee on NITEL (1988) and member of Board of Directors of Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) (1993). Prof. Bajoga has served on the Council of COREN as well as on several Committees of NSE. He is currently the Managing Director of NITEL, and a Foundation Fellow of the Academy.
